Modern relationships with kids

My son comes in from school and plays Halo most any day. Yesterday he begged me to play so from separate rooms we were playing the same game. With headsets we can talk during the game, so I was asking "what did I get for Christmas?". From across the map he sniped me (using a sniper riffle to kill me) and said "there you go daddy! There's your Christmas present!" I had to laugh but it makes me think of how the time have really changed. Here we play games together in the same house but from separate rooms. We talk but at times using headsets and bond by whooping each others butt! Times may have changed, but I don't think I would change a thing.
